Rolph Blakstad, was a 21-year old Canadian history enthusiast, painter and filmmaker, when he received a scholarship in 1951 to study painting anywhere in the world. He chose the city of Florence in Italy and it was then that he embarked on a fascinating life journey that led him to the white isle of Ibiza. Today, alongside his youngest son Rolf, he runs one of Ibiza’s most successful architectural companies, Blakstad Design Consultants.
